Anglican (Protestant) Rosary 2

In time of fear, confusion, illness and joy Prayer Beads are a wonderful companion. Rosaries are a type of prayer beads one can use in their faith and religion. The method of the Anglican (Protestant) Rosary Prayer particularly invogorates and deepens the life of many Christians who utilize it.  However, we have a long way to go in making disciplined and structured prayer a major component of religious practice in America again.  These two simple prayers that I offer here will start us along that path.

The Cross
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

The Invitatory
Let the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in you sight,
O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.

The Cruciforms
Oh, Lamb of God that taketh
away the sins of the world
have mercy upon us,
Oh, Lamb of God that taketh
away the sins of the world
have mercy upon us,
Oh, Lamb of God that taketh
away the sins of the world
give us Thy Peace.

The Weeks
Almighty and merciful Lord,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
bless us and keep us.
